Setting up an online business is easy, and anyone can do it.

Unfortunately so many online business ventures fail within less than a year.
The main reason they fail is lack of traffic to the site and product awareness.

There are a couple of very easy steps to increase your website traffic and quadruple your profits online which cost you absolutely nothing, and done correctly can take as little as a couple of hours a week to drive huge traffic, and profit.

Follow these simple steps:

Create a blog.
Blogs are great because they are not only easy to update, but when integrated into your website and each article post is written correctly, the keywords used to describe your products spread like wildfire through the search engines much faster than a standard website or shopping cart.
Best of all you can download the WordPress blog software free from WordPress.org, and if you are a little tech savvy you can set it up yourself, or outsource someone to set it up for you.
A great place to get your blog set up for cheap is Fiverr.com There are people on Fiverr willing to setup your WordPress site on your existing hosting for just $5!

Next thing you need to do once your blog is set up is download a few free plugins, which can be obtained directly through the WordPress software. Search for Ultimate SEO and Headspace under plugins, which both work great for search engine optimising your blog.
Also search for a Sitemap plugin. This will them refresh your XML sitemap, which the search engines read, and inform them that you have new content on your website.
The key to a successful blog is not only the quality of the content, but also how often it is added or refreshed, so the sitemap is essential.

Spreading the word.
Now, a blog is great as people can find your site when they search for products on Google, Yahoo, etc
But how about if you could intensify that number of visitors by around 300% in just a few simple steps through simple social media marketing?

This is really simple but not many people do it…

Firstly, create a Twitter page for your business.
This takes about 5 to 10 minutes to do, but will greatly increase your online presence when included in part of my overall process I’m about to share.
When creating your Twitter page, make sure your Bio not only describes your business but also has keywords that identify your business. This will help your rankings as Twitter bios and posts appear in Google searches.
Also create a Facebook fan page. If you’re not sure how, Click on the Facebook Create a Page link

Now, the key is to integrate all your social marketing tools to work together so that every time you post an article or product on your website blog, it will automatically appear on Facebook, Twitter and over 30 other social bookmarking websites all in one push of a button! How much time would that save you? How much greater an audience do you think it will now reach!

Linking your Social Networks
Now that you have done the hardwork, (which didn’t actually take that long!), here is the easy part:
Create a free LinksAlpha account (http://www.linksalpha.com) and add your blog’s RSS feed to the account. An RSS feed is automatically created in your blog software, and the link to your RSS feed is available in your WordPress Admin panel. Simply cut and paste the link into your LinksAlpha account.

Now, also add your Twitter page address (eg, http://twitter.com/webseocoach) and then add your Facebook business page address)
Now, each time you post an article on your WordPress blog it will automatically send the link to your TWitter account and Facebook accounts simultaneously from your RSS feed.

You have now set up a dynamic online social networking marketing tool, which will save you hours of time and guaranteed to greatly increase your visitors if you use it regularly.

The great thing about WordPress is that you can schedule your article posts to avoid bombarding people with every post at once.
When creating a new post, instead of publishing it immediately, save your article as a Draft, and then schedule it to post on the required date.
You can set up a whole weeks worth of posts at the same time, but trickle-feed them to your networks and blog, which increases your search engine rankings as a new sitemap will then be created every day, as well as new backlinks from your social network posts.
