The School Education System is Flawed

Back in the days when I went to high school back in the mid-80′s the business world was a very different place.

Computers were only owned by business people, the internet was something we had heard of but didn’t really know what it was, and the phrase ‘Google it’ had never been spoken.

I remember my Grade 10 teacher telling me if I did ordinary level maths I would never be able to get a job with a computer when I left school.
The funny thing was while my mathematical ability sucked, I had been writing games for my old Commodore Computer for a few years already before school each morning.
I actually don’t think the teacher, even with a degree in teaching, knew how to turn on a computer himself, so he was comparing his abilities with a ‘good’ education, to my own current level of abilities.

My teachers words of non-inspiration and lack of vision prompted me to fly the school nest early and learn to fly on my own.
So, my first job when I was 16, funnily enough involved a computer which I had to learn from scratch with no training.

I now spend most of my productive and creative hours working on one of my Mac computers, assisting and educating others in building online empires, as well as run a number of online businesses myself. I am also initially self-taught, completing advanced courses in web development and marketing later on.

Not bad for a kid that was once told by his teacher that he would never have a job with a computer.

My point is the education system is flawed.
Children are not taught at school how to build an online business when they are 10 years old, so that by the time they leave school they could easily by earning a full time income online, while still being educated in the classroom.
While kids are taught basic social skills in the classroom and in the playground, they are not taught social networking skills which can help them reach much further than just their small network of friends but communicate with the entire world.

I know of a number of children who are financially self-sufficient in their early teens as a result of setting up simple online businesses.
They weren’t taught this at school, but they make more in one day than many adults make in one week, and they don’t rely on their parents (or the government) for hand-outs.

Why is this education not taught at school?

The point is, the internet had opened up the door to easy self-generated wealth, where you don’t need the university degree, a big flash office or huge overheads to be successful.
You can make money literally while you sleep, work the hours you want, and set your own level of wealth you wish to achieve.

It can take as little as just a day or two to set up an entire online business with no major cash outlay or stock required, or generate income from affiliate marketing, to turn over a healthy steady income. There are literally thousands of ways to generate a full time six-figure income online.

And the best thing is anyone can achieve this wealth, no matter what you teacher tried and tells you!
